Mayor Holland will accept Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS, Sunday August 17th @ Noon.
Location: the Finish line of the BIKE & HIKE for ALS, the Dam Riverboat / Mark Twain at 100 Riverfront Dr.
Mayflower Mayor Randy Holland is challenging all the other mayors to join him on that day to show support, raise awareness and funds for ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This challenge will coincide with the finish line of the 3rd annual BIKE & HIKE for ALS, a dual sport event. Event Director, Tim Vahsholtz, says the viral Ice Bucket Challenge is an added bonus this year: “Anytime that something viral like this helps raise awareness or funding for ALS, it’s a great thing!”
The Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS can be seen everywhere, from television to Facebook and other social media and websites.
Participants joining Mayor Holland should meet at the Dam Riverboat Company around 11:30am on Sunday August 17th.
